I am an artist-teacher. My office is adjacent to the drawing and painting studio where I usually teach. It is strange to call this space "office". More correctly, this is an extension of the two studios where I teach. The space contains art matrials, art examples, books and videos available to my students and for me to use in teaching and mentoring. The space includes an "easel wall" to work on and an informal gallery of student and professional artworks. Students can take a few steps from either of the studios to my office that is nearly always open. This space is sometimes referred to as a storage room and I do not object.
