I am a university professor of philosophy, which means a teacher-scholar.  Thus any good office for my profession will have to include space to meet with students as well as a place to research, including access to books, an internet connection, and a place to write.  However, my particular philosophical views include the classical idea that beauty, truth, and goodness are interwoven.  This makes me critical of the modern tendency to separate facts from values, human beings from nature, and epistemology from aesthetics that dominates scientism and economism.  My own work tries to reintegrate these aspects of being, and I hope that my office reflects that desire!
